I teach people to meditate and techniques for individuals and teams to reach their creative potential. I am a certified teacher and have been practicing meditation for 10 years.
I’ve also been in the design industry myself for almost two decades, so I have felt the benefits of meditation both in my personal life and my work as a designer and artist. It is my true pleasure to be able to share this knowledge and my experiences with others. To learn more about the technique I teach and my design work, you can visit www.marisalowenstein.com
It varies with the season and how much I have going on at the time. I try to stay attuned to what my mind and body need. Sometimes I crave being out and social, and sometimes I need to stay inside doing not much. A couple of things I usually enjoy are running outdoors and going out for coffee and pastries to new places.
Hopefully seeing my family! They are in Argentina, and I have not seen them for a long time because of Covid.
Besides the state of the world? Lately mosquitoes.
I usually read non-fiction. I like to read books about neuroscience, self-help books (even though they get a bad rep), books about running, about the life of artists. I also read fiction from time to time. I love historical novels that take place in Germany.
The old preview for “The Departed” (had just finished listening to an interview with Matt Damon.)
I do miss coffee a lot when I can not have it.
I’m pretty proud of my packing skills.
I am looking forward to the start of “The Creativity Wellness toolkit” also Friday’s “Meditative Drawing”.
Stay tuned for some more “Mindful hikes and Nature Journaling” around Manhattan and Brooklyn.
