How She Revels: Coleen Huggins Hayback

I love to cook, travel & wander with camera in hand.

As much as I’ve always been a social person, I’ve become a bit more of a recluse since COVID.

Age: 52

Location: It depends (time split between north of Boston in Manchester by the Sea) and outside of DC in Maryland until we can move back to southern Rhode Island where I am from in four years.

What do you do for work?

Marketing director & content creator.

What do you do for fun?

I love to cook, travel & wander, with camera in hand.

What's the most exciting thing that’s happened to you lately?

My husband and I have been managing a “two-household in two-states” marriage for almost 6 years. It’s been challenging (but also fun in some ways) and I am thrilled that as of January we are finally going to under one roof!

Last great book you read?

I haven’t really had a lot of time for reading lately but I did love Envy by Sandra Brown about a New York based book editor. I was gifted a little book called The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy and it’s pretty darned sweet. It’s about friendship and kindness and really, don’t we all need more of that?

Last Google search?

A butt pillow I think; sitting in my office chair is killing me.

Tell us something surprising about yourself?

As much as I’ve always been a social person, I’ve become a bit more of a recluse since COVID.

I have a full blooded sister who my parents gave up for adoption when they were in high school. I tried to have a relationship with her but we never found our groove. Then I discovered she is a TRUMPER so now there’s no possible way.

Also, I love tuna casserole (shhh...).

Best new discovery?

Micellar water.

What are you excited to host or attend (or both!) on Revel?

Excited to host an art event!!!

And would love to get outside and hike, walk, also check out some wineries!
