Lynda is a longtime member of the original NY-based What Would Virginia Woolf Do?, which became The Woolfer, and then was acquired by Revel in 2021. She grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens, and was a Philosophy & Women’s Studies professor at Temple when she fell in love with Pilates. The politics and sexual harassment of academia in the 90s was hard to stomach, and Lynda jumped at the chance when a client wanted to open a studio with her. She’s never looked back, and while she sometimes misses teaching and the discourse with colleagues, she says “I don’t know that I could teach in the anti-intellectual climate that America has become. Plus, I so love what I do now, which has a more direct effect on people’s lives."
Lynda runs her own online Pilates studio where she helps women over 50 with osteoporosis increase their bone density and eliminate chronic pain. She’s also a Reiki Master and certified MindMAP Success & Mindset Coach. In other words, she’s a healer of the highest order.
For over 33 years, her clients (including Donna Karan, Laurie Anderson, and Joe Walsh) have trusted Lynda to help them get stronger and function better, with less pain. In fact, former Financial Times travel editor Rahul Jacob says that she’s the best Pilates teacher and personal trainer with whom he's ever worked. stry as supporting women to connect to the deepest expression of who they are as divine beings.
