Tulani Bridgewater-Kowalski, born in New York and raised around the world, is a music manager, writer (currently editing her first novel), non-profit leader, founder and leader of Revel’s The Writer’s Room, and an OG leader of The Woolfer. She’s a regular contributor to The Reveler, and can be heard on the (R)aging Gracefully podcast as a part-time interviewer. She’s also the daughter of jazz royalty: her mother is legendary Dee Dee Bridgewater (Tony and multi-Grammy award winner, NEA Jazz Master, ASCAP Champion, and more), and her father is Hard-Bop titan Cecil Bridgewater (Loud Minority, Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, Max Roach). Tulani is married and lives in LA with her husband, two adorable teenagers, and a couple of rowdy dogs.

But let’s tell you more about The Writer’s Room, which is a world unto itself, sitting on the Revel platform: originally founded under the umbrella of The Woolfer in 2020 in the throes of the pandemic, Tulani established a daily, virtual meetup for writers of all levels and genres. It’s a “get your butt in the seat” group that has grown into a beloved community of its own. Members provide support, feedback and accountability while navigating the challenges of bringing words to the page." They have their own newsletter and cocktail parties and secret handshakes. It’s a very special place.
