About Dr. Debbie:

Dr. Debbie Magids is a counseling psychologist with a thriving private practice in New York City. “Dr. Debbie” -- as she has come to be known to both her clients and national TV audience -- also runs corporate Wellness Workshops/webinars focused on topics including communicating effectively, managing stress, increasing productivity, and decreasing anxiety.

Dr. Debbie earned her undergraduate degree at SUNY Albany and holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology and a Master of Education in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University’s Teachers College. She received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University. She is a member of the American Psychological Association. The daughter of Holocaust survivors, her doctoral dissertation explored the effects of the Holocaust on survivors’ children. “Personality Comparison Between Children of Hidden Holocaust Survivors and American Jewish Parents” was published in the Journal of Psychology.

Debbie lives each day with a deep appreciation of the value of human life and a passionate desire to help others — of course, her clients, but also those who can’t help themselves, especially animals. Dr. Debbie is a (mostly) vegan who loves live music and practices meditation daily in her beloved home of New York.
